After organizational capacity assessment was conducted in our office, LOCE was earmarked to receive capacity development from the Agents for Citizens-Driven Transformation Programme (ACT) implemented by British Council with support from European Union. We were supported to receive structured trainings such as Finance Management and Internal Control, Project Cycle Management, Advocacy Strategy and Rights-Based Approach, Fundraising and Resource Mobilization, Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning, Social Research and Analysis, Communication and Media Strategy etc. These trainings have brought total knowledge enrichment and on the overall our institutional mechanism, project management and civil engagement skills have been sharpened. The ACT programme also deployed seasoned and experienced consultants to provide us one on one coaching and mentoring sessions on Governance, Finance and Internal Control and Organizational Strategy. The visits overhauled our system, installed policies, procedures and standards that we require as a non-profit to be effective and credible in both our internal and external relationships.
